Your Journey

 

Day 1 – Arrival in Uganda
Arrive in Uganda and meet your guide before transferring to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and settle in or begin exploring the local area.

 

Day 2 – Kampala → Murchison Falls National Park
Begin your journey north towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest national park. Travel through the Ugandan countryside, with opportunities to experience rural life and changing landscapes along the way.

Arrive in the Murchison Falls area and prepare for your first safari experience.

 

Day 3 – Murchison Falls Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Start the day with a game drive through Murchison Falls National Park, looking for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelope and other wildlife across the park's savannah landscapes.

Later, enjoy a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The river attracts large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds, while the dramatic falls provide an unforgettable backdrop.

 

Day 4 – Murchison Falls → Kibale Forest
Leave Murchison Falls behind and travel south towards Kibale Forest National Park.

The journey takes you through Uganda's changing landscapes, from open savannah towards the lush forests and rolling countryside of western Uganda.

 

Day 5 – Chimpanzee Trekking
Today, head into Kibale Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience.

With experienced guides and trackers, explore the forest in search of wild chimpanzees. Kibale is renowned for its incredible primate diversity, so keep an eye out for other monkeys, birds and forest wildlife along the way.

 

Day 6 – Kibale → Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel onwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's best-known wildlife destinations.

As the landscape changes from rainforest to open savannah and wetlands, look out for wildlife along the way. The park is home to elephants, buffalo, hippos, antelope and a huge variety of birdlife.

 

Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth Wildlife & Boat Cruise
Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park with a wildlife safari, searching for elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, warthogs and other species.

Later, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lakes Edward and George. From the water, you can see large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds along the shoreline.

 

Day 8 – Queen Elizabeth → Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Continue south towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, travelling through the spectacular hills and countryside of southwest Uganda.

The scenery becomes increasingly mountainous as you approach the forested region around Bwindi. Arrive and prepare for the following day's gorilla trek.

 

Day 9 – Gorilla Trekking & Community Experience
Enter Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for one of the world's most extraordinary wildlife experiences: mountain gorilla trekking.

With experienced trackers and guides, trek through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family and spend time observing them in their natural environment.

After the trek, enjoy a local community experience, providing an opportunity to meet people from the area and learn more about local culture, traditions and everyday life.

 

Day 10 – Bwindi → Entebbe/Kampala
Complete your Ugandan adventure with a journey back towards Entebbe or Kampala. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel north, with opportunities for stops along the way depending on your onward travel arrangements.
